Here is the logo for Stevendale Baptist Church. I designed it to reflect some of the architectural elements of their campus and the vision of the church to be a “lamp stand for Christ in their community.

One of the building blocks of a growing faith in Christ is scripture intake. Reading the Bible helps your relationship with Jesus grow. Currently I enjoy using the H.E.A.R. method of Bible study. H.E.A.R. was developed by a pastor, Robby Gallaty. It is a simply to engage scripture in a focused manner. Here is a link to his explaination.
A.C.T.S. is an acronym to help guide prayer. It is modeled on the Lord’s Prayer, and also provides a simple structure to pray in a focused manner. A – Adoartion, Talk with God about how much you love him and all he has done for you. C- Confession, Tell God about your sins, turn from them, and ask for forgiveness. T-Thanksgiving, Tell the Lord how much you appreciate all he has done for you. S- Supplecation – Pray for the concerns of others.

You’ve heard the phrase boys will be boys. It describes a myriad of behavior that all is allegedly acceptable because of the presence of a Y chromosome.
Regardless of if these behaviors are acceptable life with boys is always challenging and rewarding. We as a church need to invest in making boys into men.

What a powerful reminder. . . It reminds me of Psalm 55 in the :
Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never allow the righteous to be shaken. — Ps 55:22
So, when the burdens in life weigh us down; It is very likely that we are relying our own faculties rather than the all powerful, all knowing, all loving, God.
